As I said in my previous post, I am really interested to know who is visiting my blog, just wanting to know a little bit about you, how you found me, your blog or gallery address and whatever else you think is relevant. And as an incentive for ANOTHER FREEBIE, all those that leave comments will receive a mini kit called Afternoon Delight. My last freebie had over 200 downloads, so hopefully I will be giving away lots of this extra kit and finding more about you guys.
Now for the freebie, this is a kit called Come On Get Happy, bright colours are not what I usually use, so it was nice to make this kit and see where it took me… I hope you like it :-)

PHOTOSHOP TIP #4 (and #5)
OK this is a nice easy one, I’m sure most people know that hitting the letter “D” on the keyboard will get your foreground/background colours back to default. Very useful, particularly when using layer masks. The second tip is that by hitting the letter “X” on the keyboard, will switch between the foreground and background colours, again this can be very useful when using layer masks, easily switching between colours to mask areas out or back in, as the case may be. It’s also useful when try to add texture to backgrounds, switching between two colours and painting will add depth, particularly if you are using a textured, or grunge brush.

Hi Lee, just leaving you a little comment to say I’ve bookmarked your blog since finding you recently on Aussie Scrapbooking. I’m a friend of Gabbie’s (co-founder of Aussie) and I live in Sunbury not far from her. We’re scrapbooking and stamping buddies! Apart from the paper stuff, I am leaning more and more towards digi layouts these days and am on a couple of CT’s now so I’m finding a whole new community out there and have made friends with so many people around the world just through this hobby of ours! Love your work and what you offer on your blog so if you ever want to stop by my little ol’ blog, you’re more than welcome….it’s http://www.digitalcreations.typepad.com and my gallery is chockas plus I’ve got loads of links to stores/blogs/forums that I frequent! In fact, I’ll go pop a link to your blog on there right now. Off to get tea ready….

Hi Lee! Thanks for sharing your fab work! I’m a newbie to digi scrapping. I haven’t really scrapped any pages yet ands am really interested in hybrid scrapping. I found your blog through “digi-free”. I’ve bookmarked your blog and think I will learn some great tips.
I don’t have a blog at this point, but would like to get one going when I start to digi scrap and can share some work. I also like to paper scrap and make cards with rubber stamps.

Thanks, Lee! I always love learning these handy little shortcuts. Not that they aren’t useful in other software, but I think PS is one of the most-needed places for them. I recently learned about “D” but didn’t know about “X.” 😀
Dianne 07.12.08 at 3:01 am
Oops – I somehow missed that fact that the PS Tip and the download were in the same post. So, back to part 1 of your post – finding out a little about your readers and downloaders.
I found you from Hallie’s Through the Lens class and am having a blast reading your blog. My regular blog is http://bunny-trails.blogspot.com where I’ve been blogging for nearly 2 years. I started a photo blog not too long ago (which came in handy for Hallie’s class, it turns out) at http://photo-bunny.blogspot.com.
I love, love, love shooting pictures. I mostly use a Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-N2, which I’m finding to be an amazing little camera (of course, it should be for the price tag!). I also have my Canon Rebel 2000 film camera and look forward to the day I can get a digital Canon (so I can still use my lenses). At least my little Sony fits in my purse or pocket so I have it with my 99% of the time. That means I shoot silly things like signs at the post office, my kids at Chipotle, or someone next to me in traffic with doilies for seat covers. Ha! Ha! I used to torture my sister with my camera, so I have an entire series of pictures with her head cocked to the side and her expression full of annoyance!!
I really want to learn more about photography and am self-taught to date. That’s why I’m taking Hallie’s class, of course. I enjoy other people’s photography, because it inspires me to better shooting.
I also scrapbook, but not as often as I’d like. I homeschool my two boys, ages 14 & 13. We’ll be starting our 4th year shortly.
What else? We live in Colorado – I’ve been here most of my life, although I was born in California (Bay Area). I’ve been very happily married for almost 22 years.
Thanks for sharing the digi freebies! That’s so sweet and I like your designs.
Dianne 😀

Cheers,
Nic

I found your blog thru Digifree. I love the colour and whimsy of the featured kit. I thought the folder tabs would make good photo matts with the words on the side. I’ve been a traditional scrapper for 9-10 years and have been into digiscrappin for about 1 year. I live in SE Queensland Australia.

Thanks so much for the Photoshop tips! I am SOOOOO going to bookmark you. I am a Navy wife in the Norfolk, Va area and I have been designing for about a month. I have been using photoshop for a while, but missed all of these cool shortcuts! Thanks so much for the info. I was wondering though is there an easy way to separate files like alphabets etc., when someone gives them to you all in one file. I have been separating them using copy and then new from clipboard. Is there an easier way? Thanks for the info and the freebies they are lovely!

Hi Lee
Just a note to say thanks for your freebie. I have put you on my RSS feed.I am relatively new to scrap booking and am doing the paper version at present since I have so many old photos to work with. I have no blog or website but read many…one day perhaps!

Hi Lee…I found your website through Aussie Scrapbooking
I live in Colorado and have been digital scrapbooking since last summer, I really like not having all the mess to cleanup that you get with the traditional type…of course I still crave cutting and pasting and all that stuff so I do things like mini books and hybrid pages on a frequent basis. I love your designs and look forward to reading your tips…
